I am so honored that my mother’s recipe was published on the Food 52 website this month. This traditional Greek bread is made both for New Year’s and at Easter time. When Food 52 asked for family recipes submissions, I felt this bread was the perfect recipe proposal. My amazing mother passed this recipe on to me, and my family looks forward to it as it has a beautifully fragrant smell that fills the kitchen as the bread is rising and baking. It requires a couple of specialty flavorings, but they are not hard to find at most middle eastern markets.
