If you are a fan of Caprese salad, this pasta dish is for you. I have added a few things the recipe from Nutmegnanny — I added about 8 slow-roasted Roma tomatoes and stirred pesto in with the tomato sauce for extra flavor and used about twice the amount of mozzarella balls ( I like the pearls). To the sauce I also included chopped shallots along with the garlic. I marinated the chicken overnight in a combination of pesto and buttermilk which tenderizes the chicken before the cooking process.
