A great piece of beef with a great sauce makes for a lasting union.  This recipe from Fine Cooking is a wonderful combination. The original recipe has you cook the beef in a skillet– I opted for the grill. The meat is seasoned with kosher salt, cracked pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, Mitchell hill seasoning from penzeys, and smoked paprika. Don’t neglect the salt when seasoning meat, it makes all the difference!  I also used a combination of shiitake mushrooms and baby bella mushrooms and served the tenderloin on some buttery Yukon Gold mashed potatoes.
