I found these two recipes from Cooking Light and thought they were a great twist on a typical asian meal. The meatballs are cooked on bamboo skewers and take some patience to mold on the skewers, but they make for a nice presentation and a great combo with the rice and a green salad. The brown rice takes longer to cook, but it holds up beautifully with the vegetables and has a great nutty flavor. I decided to add a cup of sugar snap peas to my fried rice and doubled up on the mirin sauce which was a big hit with my kids.
