These cookies are chewy and delicious with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. The cookies crackle after cooling leaving luscious ridges for the icing to seep in and around the ridges.  I made a few adjustments to the recipe and lowered the baking temperature to 325 from 350.  Be sure not to over mix the batter or overprocess the oats as recommended in the original recipe.
